Summary

The audiologist will be responsible for providing a wide range of audiological services to adults and children. This includes diagnosing, evaluating, and treating hearing and balance problems. The audiologist will also provide counseling and support to patients and their families. Audiologists and physicians have a collaborative relationship at Premier ENT Associates, which ensures that our patients receive excellent hearing health care.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and evaluate hearing and balance disorders.
  • Provide in-service education to patients and families on hearing loss, balance disorders, hearing aids, and other assistive technology.
  • Provide appropriate hearing aid technology and aftercare of dispensing services such as hearing aid fittings, troubleshooting, conducting repairs to hearing aids, earmolds and cleaning of hearing aids.
  • Educate and train hearing aid users
  • Create treatment plans and follow-up care in collaboration with physicians
  • Provide counseling and support to patients and families
  • Refer patients to other healthcare professionals, when necessary
  • Maintain accurate records and patient files
  • Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree or equivalent from an accredited program
  • Licensure/certification in audiology
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of hearing aid technology, assistive devices, and rehabilitation protocols
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
