GILBANE has an opportunity for a Quality Control Manager to support our upcoming project at King Salmon Airbase, Alaska. This project will begin in 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Assure all project-related work plans and project-specific documents necessary for performing project QC activities are onsite
  • Review subcontractor quality plans for compliance to requirements
  • Inspect work conformance to contract and design documents
  • Understand drawings and specifications
  • Implement the Three Phase Control System
  • Develop daily quality control reports, prepare and issue detailed meeting minutes, and assist with post construction reports
  • Use Submittal Register to track and assure required materials are approved in a timely manner.
  • Manage in-depth technical reviews of submittals against design documents
  • Proactively initiate deficiencies and non-conformances documentation, and monitor and verify corrective actions
  • Stop work if necessary to resolve matters that affect safety, quality or non-compliance with design documents
  • Verify materials received are same as those identified in approved submittals and complete material receipt inspection checklists
  • Coordinate, witness, and document 3rd Party testing, special inspections, and commissioning of building systems
  • Document all tests and results
  • Coordinate and document completion inspection process
  • Manage a timely project closeout to include compilation and turnover of all required documents
Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • BS OR MS degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management
  • 5 years construction experience; 2 years as QC Manager
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel user
  • Managed two projects greater than $30 million
  • Standard USACE certs
  • Airfield paving experience
  • Remote project experience with critical logistics experience
  • ADEC and ENV experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
