Job Summary

The Quality Manager will be based out of King of Prussia, PA, USA, and will be responsible for the development, management, and effective implementation of the site's IATF 16949:2016 quality management system. This includes evaluating processes, procedures, and applications that contribute to the site objectives and maintaining an effective quality program, including continual improvement, standardized reporting, quality assurance and control, reliability, and product/process/supply base quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop, and coach the Quality Assurance/Control team with goal-driven direction, training, and monitoring of performance metrics to continually improve standards and foster teamwork.
  • Design and implement long-term progressive quality strategies and objectives that support the company's vision, mission, values, and long-term objectives.
  • Drive quality through the complete product life cycle from new product conception through delivery and support, including material review board (MRB) and management of change (MOC) responsibilities.
  • Ensure quality programs meet or exceed customer, legal, and relevant regulatory requirements and expectations in accordance with IATF 16949:2016 and including D/PFMEA, GR&R, Manufacturing Control Plans (MCP), and Value Stream Map (VSM) methodology where appropriate.
  • Communicate effectively and work cross-functionally with suppliers, customers, commercial, research and development, engineering, purchasing, operations, logistics, technical service, and other functions across the organization as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Engineering, or other related field with five (5) plus years' experience in a quality role in laboratory or industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Three (3) plus years supervisory/management experience.
  • Must speak, read, and write English.
  • Demonstrated experience with statistical analysis, process improvement methodologies, and quality assurance and control concepts and systems.
  • Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Lean training and experience a plus.
