Job Summary

As part of the Business Solutions team, the Specialist I, Market Intelligence, is responsible for identifying and recommending opportunities in response to evolving customer needs, competitor activities and technology advances in the Business Markets segment; this role works closely with sales channel owners, as well as commercial and operational teams to evaluate opportunities and develop business cases.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead collaborative process to develop robust market intelligence report andproduct/sales strategy recommendations that reflect thoughtful market sector andcompetitor analysis, collaboration/coordination with channel managers, customerinsights, financial discipline, and creative thinking

  • Evaluate potential/emerging product, technology, customer opportunities using thirdparty and internal data

  • Understand key drivers, metrics, performance of business markets segment portfolioby industry vertical and product category, and identify important market sector trendsand competitor activity

  • Identify product opportunities and sales strategies and provide leadership withrecommendations on proposals; prepare business case evaluations, includingsensitivity analysis for key assumptions and market scenarios

  • Develop presentations and lead regular management discussions; prepare materialsand present key insights and recommendations to executives

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of professional work experience, with strong preference for experiencewith commercial and industrial customer segment

  • 3+ years of experience in financial and data analysis, with executive level reporting

  • Knowledge and experience with customer facing and projectcoordination/management methods preferred

  • Extensive communications and teamwork skills with internal/external stakeholders

  • Strong understanding of financial modeling and analysis

  • Solid skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

  • Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications isapplicable to above skills

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills, with the abilityto manage a diverse range of projects simultaneously

  • Ability to gain content knowledge quickly and a demonstrated ability to workeffectively in a rapidly changing environment

  • Timely and accurate delivery and development of market and competitorinsights, business case analysis, and recommendations

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, good presentation skills, andexcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work comfortably with all levelsof employees, management and leadership

  • Ability to work cross functionally and hold other teams accountable for timelyand accurate contributions to processes
