Our client has immediate needs for three Automation Engineers to join their Engineering team in Lexington, SC. These are multi-year contract roles. Hourly Pay is DOE and does include excellent medical benefits, which we cover 50% of the employee-only cost, at least 2 weeks of PTO, local support from a dedicated Relationship Manager, and 401K with the highest match in the technical staffing industry.

Responsibilities:

- Provide detailed electrical design and automation programming for assigned projects.

- Provide estimates and technical schedules for all phases of process equipment addition, replacement, or upgrade.

- Provide backup support and training to plant maintenance teams on new automation systems that they implement.

- Interface with internal company support groups to accomplish objectives and provide contract engineering management and direction when needed.

- Participate in assigned major capital projects and/or modifications from start to finish, including equipment reception, commissioning, and acceptance.

Must haves for the position:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience, with 2-4 or more years of Engineering experience in a production manufacturing environment is required.

- Experienced with electrical design standards and able to complete controls systems designs using standard CAD design tools. SEE Electrical is the current tool; exposure to SolidWorks Electrical or AutoCAD Electrical may make the transition easier.

- Experience with Rockwell PLC programming standards & programming software, including GRAFCET, Ladder Logic, and Structured Text.

Pluses for the position:

- Willing to travel 5% domestic and some international

- Experience with Variable Frequency drives and Motion Control technologies. Specific experience with Control Techniques, SEW MOVIMOT, and Rockwell, is a plus.

- Experience with HMI PanelView Knowledge of FactoryTalkView ME Studio would be very helpful.

- Experience with controls systems network interfaces and various protocols for communications between devices including computer system databases.

- Experience in Project Team Leadership or Project Management is preferred, but not required.

- Vision System configuration and interface for width measurement applications and defect detection applications is preferred, but not required.

- Specific experience with Cognex, Keyence, Adept, Bytewise, Gocator is a plus.

- Robotic experience, configuration or knowledge is preferred, but not required. Specific experience with Fanuc, ABB is a plus.
