Our Shift Leaders share the responsibility for training and guiding the behaviors of other team members. Success in this role requires the ability to work all aspects a restaurant from guest service to kitchen execution. Additionally, capacity to understand and use back-office systems is critical to the role. Being comfortable as a leader is essential since Shift Leaders are asked to take the lead role in the absence of the Management. Essential Functions: * Certified/trained in Culinary and Front-of-the-House Operations and can perform duties & coach/verify on a daily basis. * Certified food handler & can effectively teach and execute company safety and health procedures * Effectively communicates (through live convo's, email, etc) to Team Members, Management, & RSO * Acts as a role model in behaviors, dress, and guest interaction. Exhibits desired Pei Wei behaviors & standards & is a role model for dress, behavior, & interaction w/guests & team members * Effectively leads the team during the shift, through coaching, delegation, and verification. * Effectively follows/executes shift responsibilities as outlined on mod checklist -- to include admin, reporting, scheduling, SMG scores, cash handling, opening/closing duties, inventory/ordering, etc. * Effectively supports the onboarding/training process to include scheduling * Effectively performs cash handling procedures according to company policies * Effectively handles Guest relations & can coach team on behaviors to improve the guest experience * Promptly escalates any Employee relations concerns to the gm * Attends all store manager meetings * Effectively executes other tasks/duties as assigned
