Our curriculum helps students to make sense of the world around them without gaining skills at the expense of actual knowledge.

A minimalist environment and small studio sizes enables our students to safely learn through trial and error and maximize your impact on each learner. Learning holistically through nature exploration is a major component of our programming in addition to learning practical life skills such as cooking, gardening, and caring for one's environment. Studies are instructed individually and in small groups during interdisciplinary work cycles for limited daily interruptions allowing time, space, and individualization to engage in academic work in a way that is most meaningful to them and beneficial to their learning needs.

We are searching for a Director of Operations to join us on this revolutionary and exciting journey Our Director of Operations will oversee instructors of grades four through eight and school specials. They will be challenged to oversee the implementation of a curriculum that is cohesive with the Montessori Method and Wisconsin state teaching standards, as well as monitoring teachers to ensure they are recording student progress, lesson planning, leading small group instruction, and one-one-on-one instruction while maintaining a clean and purposeful environment that meets these curriculum standards. The Director of Operations is also responsible for assisting with parent communication. This is a year-round position with summer months used for preparing for orientation, summer camp coordination, and curriculum for the year ahead.

Duties Our Director of Operations oversees grades four through eight, school specials, and our special education department. They are challenged to oversee the implementation of a curriculum that is cohesive with the Montessori Method and Wisconsin state teaching standards, as well as monitoring teachers to ensure they are recording student progress, lesson planning, leading small group instruction, and one-one-on-one instruction while maintaining a clean and purposeful environment that meets these curriculum standards. Our Director of Operations is also responsible for assisting with student behaviors and parent communication for students in 4th through 8th grade. This is a year-round position with summer months used for preparing for orientation, summer camp coordination, and curriculum for the year ahead.

Overseeing lead and assistant teachers: grades 4-8 Overseeing specials teachers Overseeing the Special Education department Meeting with PLC groups Observing and reviewing teachers Reviewing curriculum implementation Reviewing testing data Requesting curriculum changes Proctoring testing School-wide communications with parents Maintaining a safe and collaborative school atmosphere Acting as a good role model in attitude, speech, and actions Assisting with daily school duties to maintain parent relationships Leading in-service days, staff meetings, and morning huddles Assisting with 4-8th grade student behaviors Frequently visiting and monitoring studio success Maintaining school technology Determine continuing education needs of staff Approving Purchases

Requirements Education & Experience Leadership experience Teaching: 5 years

Montessori Credential, Montessori Masters Degree, or Montessori Experience(Preferred)
