Description

The Buyer will work in support of the Supply Chain Department by identifying suppliers, researching goods and services, processing purchase orders and verifying accurate deliveries. The Buyer drives company strategic goals with their ability to critically assess suppliers, products and services in terms of standards, dependability, quality of goods and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities:
  • Purchase goods and services according to the Instant Systems' policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates with managers to maintain inventory levels.
  • Evaluates vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and previous transaction history.
  • Ensures that purchasing documents are complete and accurate and include appropriate and reasonable terms and conditions.
  • Assists quality in supplier investigations, complaints, change control and follow up on implementation of corrective actions with suppliers.
  • Prepares and processes purchase orders.
  • Maintains accurate records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts and payments.
  • Coordinates and schedules timely deliveries.
  • Works with Finance, Receiving and vendors in the resolution of discrepancies between purchase order, receipt and invoice payment.
  • Builds and maintains, positive, long-term supplier relations.
