Job Title: Project Manager Location: Rincon, GA About Virginia Transformer: Virginia Transformer is the largest U.S.-owned power transformer manufacturer in North America. We provide mission-critical transformer solutions to utility, renewable, industrial, and infrastructure markets. Our focus on innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction drives long-term partnerships with leading organizations in the energy sector. Position Summary: We are seeking a Project Manager with an engineering background and direct experience in the power industryideally in transformers, substations, or power delivery. This role is responsible for the successful execution of complex transformer projects for strategic customers. The ideal candidate is technically strong, customer-focused, and experienced in coordinating efforts across engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and field services. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer projects, providing consistent, transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle. Lead cross-functional coordination to ensure alignment across engineering, supply chain, production, and field services. Manage project timelines, budgets, milestones, and risks to meet both customer and company goals. Conduct regular customer status calls, updates, and progress reporting. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to support satisfaction and repeat business. Monitor project scope and proactively manage changes or escalations. Ensure project documentation, deliverables, and contract terms are met and communicated effectively. Represent the customers voice internally while balancing business priorities and constraints. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering required; Electrical Engineering preferred. Several years of experience in the power industrysuch as transformers, substations, utilities, or power deliveryis essential. Proven ability to manage complex technical projects in a manufacturing or EPC environment. Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to resolve cross-functional issues. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Excel, ERP systems). PMP certification is not required. Preferred Skills & Traits: Familiarity with transformers, substations, or power systems. Experience working with utility, renewable, or industrial clients. High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects. Strong customer service orientation and professional demeanor. Willingness to travel as needed (approximately 1020%).
