Social Media and Content Coordinator

Our client, a large entertainment brand, is looking for a Social Media Content Coordinator to join their team for a long term, full time hours contract opportunity. This role collaborates closely with the fan club team and various divisions across the global brand to curate and distribute stories, news, events, and more to members of the fan club via multiple platforms, including the fan club website, social media channels, and the quarterly publication. This position is hybrid and based out of the Glendale office.

Rate: $33-37/hr

Responsibilities:

Craft engaging copy for social media content Stay updated on breaking news and trending topics, responding promptly with relevant content Produce, edit, and obtain approvals for vertical video content Develop tailored content (videos, posts, editorial copy) for sponsored campaigns Capture and share live content from major events, premieres, and press days Source visual assets for daily social media content Monitor and moderate comments on social platforms Propose social media strategies based on performance metrics and trends Provide post-analytics data as required Conduct research, interviews, and obtain approvals for articles on the fan club website Generate timely and engaging editorial content in response to current events Pitch and write content for the fan club website as needed

Required Qualifications:

2-4 years of relevant experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Strong skills in editorial research, reporting, and writing Excellent writing and proofreading abilities Experience conducting interviews in-person and remotely Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Genuine interest in the entertainment industry and history Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices Previous experience in website and print publication content creation Knowledge of AP style Experience writing in an organizational voice Photography skills Familiarity with WordPress or other content management systems
