Buyer Planner Job Responsibilities: Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms for price, inventory levels, payment, and delivery. Purchase production raw materials to ensure on-time delivery, expediting and deferring deliveries as needed. Request quotes from suppliers and source alternative suppliers to optimize product quality, customer satisfaction, and cost. Create and manage reports and schedules, maintaining required inventory levels. Develop and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers, resolving issues fairly and ethically. Create Purchase Orders in accordance with quality system guidelines related to ISO 9001:2015. Manage and issue monthly supplier scorecards and forecast planning reports. Communicate with production and project team members to determine needs. Participate in corporate Supply Chain Initiatives and project work, including low-cost sourcing projects and actions associated with Engineered Product Offerings (EPO’s). Resolve invoice and receiving issues. Work closely with other departments daily. Buyer Planner Requirements and Qualifications: Minimum Associate Degree in a related field and 2 years of purchasing experience, or 5+ years of purchasing experience. Working knowledge of MRP system planning.
