Position Summary:

The Sr. Manager Quality Assurance is responsible for contributing to and executing the product strategy, which includes reviewing samples, anticipating, and mitigating quality issues in addition to supporting the sales team and our customers. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership and optimize an existing area in an evolving environment.

The role requires leadership skills along with excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking. You must excel in gaining support from internal and external partners. A person who is passionate, energetic, positive thinking with a strong record of accomplishment and success being part of a team and executing a strategy. This opportunity requires collaboration skills, liaison with our sales, customers, marketing, inventory, production, and sourcing teams. In addition, this person must build and maintain relationships with 3rd party industry partners and develop strategic alliances in the Laundry, Chemical and Textile University fields. A strong ability in relationship building, maintaining, and organizing data & information and the ability to make decisions in a fast-moving environment while juggling multiple tasks.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures tailored to the specific needs of the Hospitality, Healthcare, Napery and Laundry industries.
  • Establish and maintain quality standards for products, services, and processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits, via in person and 3rd parties of manufacturing facilities, production processes, and finished products to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, production, logistics/distribution, planning, and customer service, to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Design and conduct training programs to educate employees on quality assurance protocols, standards, and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze key quality metrics, such as defect rates, customer complaints, and product/service performance, to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Prepare and present quality reports and performance metrics to senior management, highlighting areas of achievement and opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting quality assurance practices in the textile or hospitality industry.
  • Foster a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement throughout the organization, promoting accountability and teamwork across all departments.
  • Evaluate, and establish, connections and strategic partnerships with external industry experts, as well as laundry, laboratory, and research institutes. These connections will serve to help troubleshoot quality issues, determine root cause and contribute to the development of best practices.
  • Understands competitor landscape and collaborates with internal teams to remain competitive in the market.
  • Acts as a liaison between external and internal suppliers.
  • Provides technical assistance to all external and internal stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Deep Knowledge of Quality field's policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to identify and solve complex problems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Business Central (ERP) and Power BI, or related ERP systems
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, both Domestic and Internationally

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (10 years) in quality assurance management within the textile or hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, AQL and Total Quality Management.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, social and environmental certifications and quality standards relevant to the textile or hospitality industry (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Oeko-Tex Standard 100, BSCI, Prop 65, etc).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and trends to drive decision-making and process improvements.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented mindset and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve quality objectives and targets.

Physical Demands and Working Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, write, speak or hear. This position will be based in our corporate office in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Working conditions are indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 75% of the time.
