Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and send loan disclosure documents to borrowers and lending staff.
  • Review loan files for compliance with all regulations, as well as Bank policies and procedures.
  • Verify loan application information provided is complete and complies with lending standards.
  • Maintain regular communication with third parties; appraisers, settlement agents, insurance, credit bureaus and secondary market representatives regarding loan approvals, conditions and follow up.
  • Ensures that all conditions required by underwriting are in the file prior to borrowers closing.
  • Check that the loan file(s) contain proper documents, signatures, dates and other relevant information such as vesting, legal descriptions, and security instruments.
  • Process security instrument documentation to perfect liens on collateral.
  • Generate loan closing documents, balance closing fees with settlement agent.
  • Release funds to escrow holder upon loan approval and closings.
  • Carry out all other projects or special assignments by management.
  • Make a daily personal improvement in assigned tasks or the immediate work environment.
  • Frequently offer ideas and suggestions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Perform all job duties and maintain compliance with all banking acts, laws and regulations applicable to your job function.
Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in cross-training other employees.
  • May make branch visits for trainings and/or meetings.
  • May perform a variety of clerical duties which require departmental procedures such as; putting away files, sending files/documents to branches, filing, correspondence, scanning loan documentation for uploading, etc. as needed.
Qualifications Required

(Required education may be satisfied by experience and/or working knowledge)
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year lending experience
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Sitting for extended periods of time, requires close visual acuity and the ability to work and operate computer applications and equipment including copy machine, telephone, scanner or other basic office equipment.Some travel is required for branch/department visitations.The job is fast paced and with specific deadlines. This job is within the normal office environment range.

Qualifications Preferred
  • Two years of real estate lending experience.
