Join Our Team as a Preconstruction Manager

We are a self-perform concrete contractor seeking a dynamic Preconstruction Manager with a proven track record in business development and estimation to enhance our team. This role is pivotal in driving the growth of our operations by managing and optimizing processes related to new business development and preconstruction activities. This position is crucial for maintaining a healthy project pipeline by overseeing bid strategies, preparing accurate estimates, conducting client negotiations, and ensuring seamless project transitions to operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Expertise in identifying potential project opportunities within the commercial construction sector through a deep understanding of geographical markets.
  • Capable of assessing the operational capacity and aligning it with upcoming projects to maximize business growth.
  • Cultivates strong market relationships to unearth new business prospects.
  • Ensures the accuracy of project estimates and develops effective bid strategies.
  • Prepares and guides teams to meet project demands and client expectations by understanding detailed project requirements.
  • Seamlessly transitions projects to operational teams through an established turnover process.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in Commercial Construction, particularly with a Self-Perform General Contractor or specialized in concrete.
  • Mandatory hands-on experience with concrete self-performance.
  • A strong foundation in business development and knowledge of the construction market.
  • Preferably with a solid background in construction estimation.
  • Experience in managing a diverse range of projects, particularly in commercial and industrial sectors.
  • Must have knowledge of fundamental construction principles with direct experience on projects valued over $1 million.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering is required.
