Overview

The Program Manager will oversee the Peer Services collaboration, consultation, and coordination across Trilogy programs, ensuring all peer staff have the training and support they need. They will support CRSS application completion for staff and liaison between peer staff and their supervisors as needed. The Program Manager will support in developing workforce opportunities for peer staff through participating in new grant opportunities, workgroups, and initiatives both internally and externally. They will provide trainings in the community to reduce mental health stigma and expand knowledge of behavioral health resources and challenges.

The Program Manager supports in managing the overall schedule and activities of the Drop-In centers including individual and group services, socialization services, and basic case management/referral services. They provide direct supervision for the Drop-In Center Team Leaders, assist in developing employee schedules and activities, and ensure quality service delivery to clients. The Program Manager will review IMCANS for Drop-In only clients and monitor deadlines for other paperwork. The Program Manager will assist in developing community outreach material, planning events like family nights, and developing relationships in the community to raise awareness of Trilogy services. The Program Manager will provide and ensure staff provides client-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed services to clients with severe mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse/addiction disorders utilizing a harm reduction approach.

Responsibilities

  • Function as a Senior Clinician for the Drop In Center Programs and collaborate with staff to develop programming and activities for clients based on their needs.
  • Support in developing the Client Advisory Council's role throughout the agency to provide recommendations and promote involvement from clients.
  • Monitor and adjust employee schedules and allocate resources accordingly to ensure the programs are adequately staffed and enough clinical time is scheduled to meet direct service requirements and other grant requirements.
  • Provide effective supervision and coaching to all assigned team members. Train new employees to provide quality services to clients. Ensure continued education and training for assigned employees to strengthen services provided.
  • Evaluate program's effectiveness in meeting deliverables. Recommend modifications in service structure or operations that affect the program. Develop plans to improve program performance.
  • Complete monthly and quarterly reports for grants as needed.
  • Complete applications and consult around grant opportunities for developing workforce shortages especially in the area of peer development in the field.
  • Support in managing Drop-In Center Operations such as ordering, scheduling, and activities.
  • Develop, plan, and attend community outreach and events such as family night and community awareness events.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external community partners for special events and/or donations to build services and awareness of Trilogy (i.e. committee events for clients, haircuts, guest speakers, etc.)
  • Consult and partner with other departments for coordination of care for clients
  • Coordinate and facilitate monthly peer consultation meetings to provide peers with support, coaching, and mentoring related to their unique role as peer employees
  • Provide agency wide and community trainings related to peer services and mental health awareness
  • Trainer for MHAT in community settings on the South and West Sides of Chicago
  • Assist with the credentialing process for peer employees' specific certifications such as CRSS, CADC, licensures, etc.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure charts are in compliance with Medicaid, Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Services (CARF), and organization standards.
  • Perform other related duties and/or projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum three year's experience working with people with mental health and/or substance abuse diagnoses
  • Minimum 2 years supervising staff working in the mental health and/or substance abuse field
  • Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) Certification required
  • Ability to train and advocate for the peer workforce externally and internally
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and sites
  • Ability to build rapport with multiple stakeholders internally/externally
