You will identify and implement changes to improve employee, facility, and system performance while maintaining or improving safety, quality, and customer service. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, research, implement, and maintain current Warehouse and Labor Management Systems (WMS/LMS) to improve activity within the distribution centers. Provide engineering support for the facilities/distribution centers. Maintain accurate labor standards in accordance with documentation procedures. Improve work methods through the application of Lean techniques followed by deploying best practices. Support information and technology system deployments and interact with other functional departments to accomplish projects. Provide Operations with the necessary support and guidance for improving resource utilization and cost reduction projects. Perform analyses, develop metrics, and create applicable reports. Utilize CAD to design and improve facility layouts. Perform other duties as assigned by leadership. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Warehouse Grocery – approx. 50F – 90F Warehouse Perishable – approx. 26F - 60F Warehouse Freezer – approx. 0F - -20F Warehouse Office – approx. 65F – 75F SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday Standard Business Hours Flexibility to work various or additional shifts, as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. EXPERIENCE: Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent engineering degree. Minimum three (3) years of experience in the Distribution Industry. Preferred technical experience: CAD and Microsoft Office Suite; complex Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); RF technology and voice technology; simulation software. SKILLS: Physical Abilities: Ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout your day; walking on a variety of flooring such as carpet, concrete, tile, etc. Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basis. Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines; project management. Team Environment: Ability to work independently and as a team player to ensure our customers receive orders timely and with the highest quality. Quality: Maintain integrity and high standards from all perspectives.
