We provide rehabilitation services across the continuum - acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, sub-acute rehabilitation, homecare, outpatient centers, and in community settings such as senior centers, work sites, and schools and colleges. We offer over 30 outpatient locations with a variety of specialists, including oncology, women’s health, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language, we are known for our commitment to high quality, customer focused outcomes. Job Summary The Central Rehab Patient Service Representative (PSR) serves as a support and resource for outpatient rehabilitation locations on all levels of authorization. Acts as a liaison to ensure all HHC Rehab Network (HHCRN) team members have current information and requirements for the insurance companies we participate with. Key area of responsibility Obtains authorization/re-authorization directly with insurance companies for specified insurance plans for 10-12 outpatient rehabilitation locations. Audits the 10-12 sites by reviewing documentation in EPIC for the authorizations the site is responsible for to minimize risk of denials/lost revenue. With support and guidance of the Supervisor Administrative Rehab, provides training to new employees or for new tasks to existing employees; serves as resource to colleagues on issues/questions and provides guidance; coaches for improved performance by providing appropriate feedback; maintains a positive environment.Provides coaching and training to Patient Service Representative staff relative to insurance authorizations. Provides feedback to PSR supervisors on PSR performance. Assists with developing and implementing training for onboarding new hire PSRs. Track Lost Visit and Referral Errors to identify trends and opportunity for coaching, education or process improvement. Develops new processes and coaches/mentors PSRs to minimize errors and lost revenue. Updates Central Team dashboard weekly. Provides feedback and supports development of Standard work. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates' or Bachelor’s degree in a clinical or business field preferred. Experience Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Patient Service Representative Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements · Ability to adhere to HIPAA policies at all times. · Ability to provide excellent and efficient Patient Service Representative Support. · Positive, customer-focused approach, with commitment to providing excellent patient care. · Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment · Bilingual (highly preferred) We take great care of careers.
