Job Summary

We are seeking a Billing Customer Service Coordinator to support our Patient Accounts team at South Shore Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families regarding billing inquiries and concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with hospital personnel to resolve billing issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Utilize strong research skills to investigate and resolve complex billing inquiries.
  • Adhere to Hospital Credit Collection Policy and HIPAA Privacy Regulations when handling patient-related information.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the Patient Accounts team.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Prior customer service experience, including extensive phone work with incoming/outgoing calls, is highly desirable.
