Controller

TalentGrid Search has partnered with a manufacturing company in the Macungie, PA area. This role will be instrumental in guiding the financial strategies and accounting practices that support the business objectives. This is a great opportunity to work for a leader in their industry.

The Financial Controller will oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company. You will be responsible for managing the accounting team, developing financial strategies, streamlining accounting functions and financial processes, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
• Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports
• Supervise and manage department staff, including accountant and specialists
• Perform necessary month end accounting to close general ledgers
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
• Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
• Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports
• Perform and/or monitor updates of subsidiary transactions to subsidiary ledgers and ultimately to general ledger
• Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
• Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in accounting and financial management practices
• Proficiency with accounting software, databases, and spreadsheets
• Strong understanding of business and financial statistics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and multitask efficiently
• Detail-oriented and analytical nature
