Position Summary
Jeffers Crane Service, Inc. is seeking Job Site Safety Coordinators for a temporary assignment that will last approximately 90 days starting in August and run through the end of October. The position requires 3+ years of related experience as a safety professional in the crane and rigging industry and/or construction industry. This is a full-time, non-exempt temporary position.
Safety Coordinator - Essential Functions
- On-boarding New Hires- New hire Orientation, employee verification (I-9's), drug screen management
- Field safety audit- Client and company audit programs
- Assist with Incident investigations
- Conduct Daily toolbox meetings
- JHA collection and review
- Reporting directly to company safety manager
- Address safety concerns of company employees and client management
- Rigging inspections
- PPE distribution
- Minimum OSHA 30 hour certification
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
- 3+ years of Refinery experience
- Experience with Cranes/ heavy equipment
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written format, i.e. report writing.
- Experience in accident investigation.
- Ability to operate a personal computer.
