Apply for our Sterile Processing Director role todayJob Summary and QualificationsThe Sterile Processing Director is responsible for the complete oversight of the Sterile Processing Department (SPD). The Director serves as liaison between staff and administrative personnel and works cohesively with Admin Director to develop standards and procedures for providing care and improving quality and efficiencies. They are responsible for promoting strong and effective working relationships with other departments within the facility.What you will do in this role:Accuratelyidentify real/potential problems affecting the service and implements solutions with follow through and communicationActively participate in service, departmental and hospital wide committees as assigned, providing ongoing communication to those one representsCoach subordinates through providing feedback, constructive critique of work, facilitates individual development plan, and documents their job performanceEffectively communicate departmental, organization and industry information to staffFacilitate evidence based employee engagement practicesEffectively build strong relationships and networks to deliver upon organizational and department goalsParticipate in employee and patient rounding and identify and mentor potential future leadersEnforce standards of care for surgical services and develops processes to measure and ensure consistent complianceDevelop, implement, and evaluate an ongoing surgical services program which assures quality patient care consistent with the Hospital missionMonitor compliance with regulatory, accrediting and hospital policy, environmental, patient, and personnel safetyOversee a PI program that consistently monitors and evaluates critical aspects of care.Maintain responsibility for department’s operational excellence by ensuring delivery of quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and professional standardsFollow the Hospital Exposure Control Plans/Blood borne and Airborne PathogensEnforce safe procedural site and patient verification policyMonitor and respond to quality event reportingSupport new program strategies and/or program enhancements which would expand patient servicesDevelop, prioritize and defend capital equipment requestsBe responsible for the fiscal management of department; assures proper utilization of organization’s financial resourcesDemonstrate a poised and confident demeanor that reassures others and commands respect within the organization and the communityDevelop and build strategic internal and external networksPromote consistent positive patient interactions that advance the agenda of unparalleled patient serviceWhat qualifications you will need:Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field requiredMaster's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or a related field preferred 3+ years of experience in a leadership role preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience5+ years SPD experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experienceTriStar Centennial Medical Center is a 740+ bed comprehensive facility.
