Seeking experienced Senior Accountant Consultants for clients in the East Washtenaw County, MI area to be engaged on an interim basis. As a Senior Accountant Consultant, specific role(s) with clients and position responsibilities will vary from engagement to engagement. Work may include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintenance of general ledger including journal entries, accruals and completing month-end close, analyze financial information and summarize financial status, support preparation of financial statements, and assist in budget preparation.

The ideal Senior Accountant Consultant candidate would have minimum 5+ progressive years accounting and/or finance experience, in-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process, advanced MS Excel skills, and Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
