Job Summary

A full-time Research Audiologist will manage the Accessible Precision Audiology Research Center (APARC-PIN) near the new Purdue-in-Indianapolis campus, which aims to develop accessible precision audiology to reduce the burden of untreated hearing loss. This new research lab synergizes Purdue's strengths in audiology/auditory neuroscience and data analytics and aims to collect, curate, and analyze standardized and advanced audiological assessments on a large and diverse population, including those with normal hearing and with hearing loss. The highly motivated and experienced Research Audiologist will be responsible for subject recruitment, data collection and analysis, and overall management of the facility and 3rd-year Audiology students working as Research Assistants or for their Capstone projects. This person will also lead community-outreach efforts in Indianapolis and rural Indiana, as well as coordinate our work with other broader community health initiatives within the state.

Required:
  • Doctorate of Audiology (AuD) degree or equivalent required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting audiological assessments, including electrophysiological measures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Enthusiasm for community outreach and public education
Preferred:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in audiological research and/or diagnostics
  • Experience supervising and mentoring students
  • Strong data analysis and statistical skills
