We are looking for a Financial Analyst in the Public Finance department located in the Salt Lake City, Utah downtown office location . Ideal candidates will have the skills and experience necessary to: Creates and analyzes financial statements and other financial documents or data to aide management in decision making process. Responsible to complete analysis in one or more of the following areas: cost analysis, profitability, pricing, valuation, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling or reconciliation utilizing related analytical tools and procedures. Responsible for financial analysis of business transactions and planning cycle activities. Prepares short- and long-term financial planning reports of key performance indicators, ad hoc analysis reports, economic valuations and cost benefit information. What you need to bring to the table: Requires a Bachelor's in accounting, finance or related field and some experience in accounting, financial analysis, budgets or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications. Basic knowledge of financial analysis practices, principles, applications and analysis methods. Must have solid analytical skills. Ability to develop financial models. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prepare oral and written reports. Ability to work in a heavily deadline oriented environment. Ability to work individually and as part of a team. Ability to identify, research, coordinate and resolve issues. Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task. Works effectively with co-workers and both internal and external customers. Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
