Infinity Solar USA is hiring a permitting Specialist who is responsible for working with various state and local jurisdictions to ensure the satisfactory and timely completion of all permit applications, documentation, and inspections for residential solar and roofing projects. The role works closely with the solar coordinator, CAD, and the construction manager to ensure a complete and accurate application, as required by the specific jurisdiction, is submitted promptly.

Reporting Relationship:

This position reports to the Construction Director and is located in the office.

Day to Day Duties:

Perform all due diligence needed to prepare and submit detailed applications to local municipalities, utility companies, and state offices for approval to install and energize solar projects and or roof installations.

Ensure property owner support and documentation for zoning issues and applications.

Communicate with local jurisdictions, verifying and tracking all permitting requirements including design specifications, permit lead times, points of contact and special requirements.

Work with the operations team to understand priorities to ensure all permitting objectives are met.

Provide consistent status updates in Job Nimbus and inform all internal stakeholders when permits are received.

Maintain orderly records of all documents and report permitting delays or other issues to management as needed.

Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred

Ability to read and interpret building plans

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills with a focus on results

Ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines

Ability to establish priorities systematically with focus and attention to detail

Basic computer knowledge of business applications

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00/hour + $200 weekly bonus after the first 60 days.

Full benefits, medical, dental, and vision after 60 days of the start date, the company pays for 75% of the employee's portion.
