Overview:
  • The Unit Receptionist works under the supervision of the Manager, House Supervisor, or Executive Director, and in accordance with established policies and procedures, performs a variety of skilled secretarial duties in support of Physicians, the nursing unit/department.
  • May be required to assume additional duties as needed.
  • Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School or GED.
  • Unit receptionist orientation complete within 90 days of hire.
  • Other: Excellent interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to operate various types of office equipment including computer, fax machine, telephone with multiple lines, printer, copy machine, and nurse call system.
  • Must feel comfortable using computer software and EHR for reports and documents.
  • Preferred Education: Secondary
  • Preferred Experience: Previous secretarial/clerical experience within a healthcare setting.
