Labcorp Drug Development is seeking a Validation Specialist to join our Central Labs team

LabCorp Drug Development provides dedicated and fully comprehensive laboratory testing and drug development services to the pharmaceutical industry. We strive to make a difference to peoples everyday lives by bringing essential medicines to the market.

As a key member of our Central Labs team, you will have the following responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Achieving all of the deliverables expected in a validation project within a reasonable timeline as assigned by Supervisor. This will include performing tasks like planning, documenting, performing bench work, analysis of data, and reporting of data to management.

  • The Specialist shall maintain, QC, acquire specimens, and perform some troubleshooting on sophisticated flow cytometers and other lab equipment.

  • The Specialist is responsible for alerting management to instrument issues and may be required to request instrument service from appropriate vendor.

  • Excellent written skills are required for the generation of validation plans/reports and SOPs with supervision from management.

  • The Specialist shall be included on communication with clients and vendors and may be required to update client on timelines, datasets, and some data interpretation.

  • Collaboration with the supervisor on client facing presentations is expected.

  • All relevant experiments associated with validation plans or other project are expected to be completed within timelines determined by management.

  • The Specialist will perform inventory control for general laboratory reagents and will be responsible for maintaining accurate antibody quantities based on project requirements.

  • The Specialist will perform some analysis of FCS files and evaluation of stability and precision statistics pertaining to assigned projects

Education/Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Biology or related field Minimum

  • Individual must have some laboratory experience that includes pipetting

Preferred:

  • Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Excel and Word are required

  • Excellent verbal and written skills
