Inspect materials for damage or defects and report any issues to the appropriate department. Work closely with quality department to ensure that only high-quality materials are used in production. Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of material transactions, including receipts, withdrawals, and returns. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment. Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately. Collaborate with other departments, including production, procurement, and shipping, to ensure seamless material flow and support overall operational efficiency.Education and Certifications High school diploma or GED. Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role. Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks. Knowledge of inventory management systems. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.Qualification Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Although limited must be able to climb stairs and ladders, work at heights up to 50' and work in confined spaces. You must be able to work in awkward positions such as kneeling, squatting, and while laying on your stomach or back. Ability to spend 80% of the day standing. Work is primarily conducted in an industrial environment, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.Work experience in related industry is an asset but even if you do not have this, we still want you to apply.
