DescriptionJob Summary: The Fleet Shop Assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining and managing the fleet of vehicles for our organization. This position involves assisting mechanics, performing routine maintenance tasks, and ensuring that all vehicles are in optimal condition. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for working with vehicles.Responsibilities:Keep the shop area clean and organized.Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.Assist in managing inventory of spare parts and supplies.Help with vehicle inspections and safety checks.Coordinate with drivers to schedule maintenance and repairs.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.Assist in maintaining tools and equipment.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Basic knowledge of automotive systems and repairs.Strong mechanical aptitude.Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.Excellent communication skills.Detail-oriented and organized.Valid driver's license.Preferred Skills:Experience working in an Heavy Duty Track and Trailer ShopFamiliarity with computerized diagnostic tools.Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Benefits:Competitive salary.Health insurance.Retirement savings plan.Paid time off.Opportunities for career growth and advancement.
