Description

Kleen-Rite Corp. is looking to grow our Purchasing Team. Are you a recent graduate looking to start your career in a purchasing department? This is a great opportunity to start in the Purchasing Department here at Kleen-Rite Corp and gain valuable experience

The ideal candidate will have financial acumen, be detail oriented and able to stay organized while working on various projects. The primary responsibility of a Purchasing Co-Op is to assist functions of the department, source pricing and implement increases for existing items and execute price comparisons to meet the needs of Kleen-Rite Corp and our customers.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Work with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, & delivery schedule on a daily basis.
  • Prepare and issue Purchase orders, ensuring accuracy with each order.
  • Create Bill of Ladings (BOLs) for freight purchase orders ensuring accurate shipment information is utilized to determine the best rate.
  • Pricing Responsibilities: Obtain pricing and Implement increases after supervisor approval; Send price increases along with percentages to buyers and sales manager weekly; Evaluate existing margins & Execute price comparisons.
  • Reporting Responsibilities: Create and maintain reports requested by supervisor.
  • Source new items, including current pricing and lead time, from sales and supervisor requests within 24 hours of request, as needed or directed by supervisor.
  • Resolve all pricing issues with products and goods you are responsible for or assigned to.
  • Respond to inquiries from a variety of internal and external sources, through phone calls or emails, for the purpose of providing information and direction.
  • Maintain proper documentation for appropriate job functions, following department procedures.
  • Communicate closely with other team members to ensure a seamless customer care strategy.
  • Express a positive and professional attitude towards your work, coworkers and Kleen-Rite.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED is required, degree in related field (such as Finance, Business or Accounting) is preferred.
  • Excellent communications skills, written and verbal, as well as excellent follow-up communication with vendors, required.
  • Ability to stay organized while handling multiple projects, required.
  • Have financial acumen, required.
  • Have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Be punctual, reliable, and prepared for work during work days and hours.
  • Need to be proficient with Office applications including (Word, Excel, Outlook email, web applications) and have an ability to learn new applications.
  • Must be able to read documents written in Standard English text.
  • Must be able to work independently and make decisions, as well as in a team-environment with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must work within the framework of the Kleen-Rite Corp. Values and Mission Statement.
  • Must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
