Location: Elixir & Bean, same building as Fischbeck's Pharmacy

Job Type: Part-Time/Full-Time - to be discussed

Reports To: Store Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Barista to join our team at Elixir & Bean. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating and serving a variety of coffee and alcoholic beverages, preparing and cooking food, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for our customers. Additionally, you will play a key role in promoting our locally brewed coffee and other products.

Key Responsibilities:

Beverage Preparation: Craft a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso-based beverages, as well as alcoholic drinks, according to our recipes and customer preferences.

Food Preparation: Cook and prepare a selection of food items, ensuring high quality and consistency.Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, including taking orders, answering questions, and offering recommendations.

Advertising: Actively participate in promoting our coffee shop through social media and other advertising channels, including suggesting new ideas for attracting customers.

Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning coffee machines, equipment, and kitchen areas.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.

Compliance: Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including those related to the serving of alcohol.

Requirements:

Age: Must be at least 20 years old.

Experience: Previous experience as a barista or in the food service industry is preferred but not required.

Skills: Strong customer service skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for coffee and food.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 pounds, take steps up and down, and perform other physical tasks as needed.

Availability: Must be available to work assigned hours.

Work Ethic: A reliable and punctual work ethic, with attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
