Overview of Job Function

Verints Senior Manager, Engineering leads one or more product engineering teams within our WFM product family. This Senior Manager serves as a driver to organize development, quality verification and delivery of large scale, high availability solutions. As a leader in our Engineering organization, this Senior Manager is fluent in the latest technology trends, expert in system architecture using Java technology stack with proven ability to lead teams and strive in high paced agile environment.

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

Define and lead operational plans for product infrastructure development, creating new infrastructure components and expanding existing ones

Manage the overall software development process including architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment and support

Lead a team of highly technical engineers through influential and inspirational leadership, participating in hiring, developing and retaining critical talent

Deliver high quality enterprise-grade solutions under aggressive timelines and within budget

Create processes, infrastructure, and a culture that enables a geographically disperse team to collaborate effectively and create sustained, effective technological engineering practices across multiple competing product initiatives

Work closely and in partnership with Product Management, Solutions Delivery and Operations teams

Manage customer escalations when needed

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field

Minimum of 10 years of overall engineering experience including a minimum of 6 years of management and leadership experience

Experience building modern scalable UI using RESTful API, JS and CSS

Strong leadership, project management, time management and problem-solving skills

Expert level technical knowledge: OOP, systems architecture, Java and related frameworks, modern JScript frameworks, relational databases, CI/CD (tools and processes)

Hands on experience architecting and supporting highly scalable solutions

Good knowledge of software algorithms and design patterns

Successful completion of Verint background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, and SS verification and a credit check for travel related roles

  • Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
