Enterprise Systems Engineer

They are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Systems Engineer to support and advance their infrastructure capabilities, focusing on automation, platform development, and integration across a variety of environments.

The Enterprise Systems Engineer will be pivotal in developing, provisioning, and managing infrastructure platforms, with a heavy emphasis on automation and scripting. This role involves implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) principles, utilizing state-of-the-art automation technologies in diverse operational environments.

Focus:

  • Develop and implement technology roadmaps aligned with company strategy, emphasizing automation and modern infrastructure solutions.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of infrastructure platforms across environments such as Azure, VMWare, and Hyper-V.
  • Utilize automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Puppet for provisioning, administration, and infrastructure management.
  • Script and automate using PowerShell, Python, and other programming languages, ensuring seamless communication through REST, SNMP, and SOAP protocols.
  • Integrate automation technologies with monitoring tools such as CA UIM and DOI, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Support and improve DevOps processes and CI/CD platforms, fostering agile development cycles.
  • Maintain and optimize infrastructure systems including IaaS, PaaS, network security, and database technologies.

Skill Set:

  • Over 5 years of experience in advanced infrastructure engineering roles, with a preference for candidates with a global systems engineering background.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
  • Extensive experience with virtualized environments and containers, including Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration systems.
  • Proven track record in leading technical presentations, articulating value propositions, and communicating complex technical ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Strong leadership qualities and an ambition to motivate teams towards achieving big-picture goals.
  • Expertise in container orchestration and management within Docker and Kubernetes environments.
  • Profound knowledge of virtualization, DR, BC, HA technologies, and various authentication and DNS systems.
  • Continuous learning and adaptation to new technologies and industry trends, sharing insights and knowledge across teams.
