Responsible for the execution and management of a comprehensive fundraising strategy to grow annual giving and support capital campaign(s). The Director manages annual fundraising, special fundraising activities, donor cultivation, and ensures a solid stewardship of gifts and planned giving while promoting awareness of the organization’s mission and work.

Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge:

Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record of success in major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, and special events.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write compelling donor communications and marketing materials.Strong leadership and management skills.Proven relationship-building and solicitation skills with an emphasis on working collaboratively with colleagues, Board members, and volunteers.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, Board members, and volunteers.General office computer application skills are required to include Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and experience with fundraising software and donor databases.A deep commitment to the mission and values of our organization.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Developing and implementing fundraising strategies:

Develop and implement fundraising strategies that align with HRCCs mission and values, and that are effective in generating the necessary funds to support the organization’s needs.

Provides leadership to the organization with regards to identifying, analyzing and supporting capital campaigns, fundraising events and assists in the development of the strategic plan.

Building and maintaining relationships with donors and funders:

Identify potential donors and funding sources, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and government agencies, that are aligned with the organization’s mission and values, and that are likely to support its activities and needs.

Organizing fundraising events and campaigns:

Organize fundraising events that generate awareness of the organization’s mission and activities, and that encourage donations and support. Also, participates in capital campaign(s) to meet strategic plan goals. Recommends appropriate use of outside consultants.

Collaborate with the marketing and communications team:

Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute effective donor communications and marketing materials. This involves developing a compelling message that resonates with potential donors, creating donor recognition programs, and crafting targeted appeals that drive donations.

Ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations:

Ensure that the organization complies with all applicable fundraising regulations, including those related to donor privacy, tax regulations, and charitable solicitation laws.

Monitor and Analyze Fundraising Data:

Responsible for establishing, monitoring and analyzing fundraising data to evaluate performance and adjust strategies as needed. This involves tracking donor engagement and retention rates, analyzing revenue streams, and making data-driven decisions that help the organization achieve its fundraising goals.

Policy Development:

Develop policies for long-term pledges, estate gift commitments, and donor recognition.

Guidance on Planned Giving Activities and Major Donor Solicitation:

Provide support and training to the management team and ensure proper acceptance and completion of planned gifts. To include providing guidance on the acceptance and management of complex gifts. Work directly with gift planners and donors to explore giving strategies and maintain a prospective portfolio.

Community Presentations and Publicity:

Make presentations at local organizations and attend relevant events to increase publicity and to foster collaborative relationships within the community. #J-18808-Ljbffr
