Selected candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.

As a Data Management and CAD/EDA Infrastructure Engineer, the candidate will be reporting to the Director Engineering of CAD. In this role the candidate will be administering the existing Data Management system, develop a roadmap for improvements to enable design reuse and traceability enhancements, architect and implement these improvements to deploy across a world-wide design team, and develop upper layer integration tools allowing consolidation of workflows across various existing DM systems already in place. The CAD team is spread globally across the US and India and supports EDA (electronic design automation) software, EDA infrastructure, design flows/methodologies, and design automation for world-wide design teams working on cutting edge product chips designs for memory interface chips, interconnect chips and silicon IP designs.

Rambus offers a flexible work environment, embracing a hybrid approach for the majority of our office-based roles. We encourage employees to spend an average of at least three days per week working onsite, allowing for two days of remote work.

Responsibilities

You will be part of a computer-aided design (CAD) team that develops and releases software tools and utilities that are crucial for Rambus’s advanced chip design and verification.

Your primary responsibility will include managing/maintaining the existing data management (DM) system, Methodics/Perforce, used to manage design data across a large portion of the design teams.

Further goals will be to architect and develop enhancements to this system to allow design reuse, release traceability and integration across various data repositories to allow increased productivity through reuse and higher quality through improved checking on release criteria.

Qualifications

BS/MS in CS or EE

10+ years Data Management and CAD/EDA infrastructure in SOC/ASIC/Custom design flow environment

Extensive software development experience with C++, Python, TCL, Makefile

Experience using Methodics and Perforce for Data Management

REQUIRED

Understanding of input/output data used by EDA tools in semiconductor design flows

The US salary range for this full-time position is $143,900 to $267,200. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location.

The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.
