Job Description Job Description Salary:The Senior Controller will oversee Arise Homes daily accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Develop and implement financial policies and processes that are tailored to Arise Homes needs and goals. Help guide the company's strategic financial decisions.PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Represent Arise Homes in a positive and professional manner in and outside of company.Maintain accounting internal controls, policies and processes to ensure adherence to national and local legal standards, GAAP principals, and tax compliance.Preparation and analysis of internal and external financial statements of multiple business entities.Assist with managing banking relationships through providing updated financial reports and oversight of all loan processes including draws, home closings, multi-family rental units, etc.Manage company-wide budgets, proformas, cash flow projections with analysis, as well as development and construction project budgets and cash flows.Provide management with information vital to decision-making processes.Oversee relationship with external tax firm and coordination of tax planning.Evaluate the effectiveness of accounting software and reporting systems, as needed.Oversee and implement risk management solutions incuding as insurance, safety and security policies, business continuity plans, or recovery measures.Coordinate with Human Resources on payroll and benefits administration functions.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE EXPECTATIONS:Bachelors degree or higher with a major in Accounting5 years+ experience in AccountingCPA preferred, but not requiredExpert knowledge of accounting and financial principles, regulations, and best practicesProficient with data analysis, critical thinking and problem-solvingProficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Quickbooks software experience a plusHighly organized with keen attention to detailHighly motivated, self-starter, with the ability to work either independently or collaborativelyAbility to communicate effectively and build trustPositive attitude and professional demeanor.Be open and prepared to grow professionally within the team as well as the overall company.WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Work in temperature controlled environment.Vision for near, mid-range, far and accommodation.
