Process Improvement Assistant Manager Position Summary:
Proactively manage assigned department. Responsible to effectively manage on a daily basis each aspect of the manufacturing process efficiently with the goal being to deliver superior results in continues improvement on a timely manner and in compliance with the companys Vision, Core Values and HTGP Employee Guidebook
Essential Functions (include but are not limited to):
Corporate:
Adheres to the Hyundai Transys Georgia Powertrain (HTGP) policies and procedures
Learns, demonstrates and upholds HTGP Core Values
Complies with all HTGP Certification standards; Management System (IATF 16949), Environmental ISO 14001 and Health and Safety ISO 45001 policies and procedures
Treats all HTGP team members with respect and professional courtesy
Always strives to maintain a positive work environment
Performs additional assignments / duties as required by management
EHS:
Adheres to all safety policies and procedures
Complies with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment
Consistently meets company safety goals
Technical:
Analyzes and resolves work problems, and assists employees in solving daily production problems
Coordinates and leads project activities assigned by management.
Understands and analyzes equipment data
Support as needed in counter measures for inline , customer and market quality problems
Develop, analyze and continuously improve performance of assigned area in safety, quality, production, cost, and human factors.
Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout
Creates and implements countermeasures for equipment & quality issues
Works with equipment suppliers & contractors to install or improve equipment or processes
Creates & implements capital projects
Leads and reports on all projects to ensure competition of projects such as improvements, corrective actions, capital investments, counter measures, new products.
Must be hands on when problem solving and supporting equipment issues
Prepares reports and presentations, improvements, corrective actions, quality issues etc. as required.

Leadership:
Enforces clean philosophy (5S) to maintain a clean working environment and all other HTGP policies and procedures
Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing KPI goals
Builds and sustains positive team relations and effectively handles team relation issues
Builds and sustains positive relationships with support organizations
Communicates effectively to management and team members
Education
High School/GED
4 Year Degree or comparable background of work related experience

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical demands also at times may include safely handling multiple, continuous parts flow in and out of manufacturing operations work areas which requires pushing and pulling of carts. Work environment is climate controlled in most areas.

Position Requirements and Qualifications
7 10 years job related experience preferred.
