Compensation: $20 per hour

Responsibilities:
- The client is looking for an individual capable of working with insects, plant material, and nematodes while completing routine, highly detailed work.
- Previous laboratory experience preferred.
- Work environments vary throughout the day between laboratory, greenhouse, and insectary colonies.
- Strong culture of safety requires individuals to adhere to all safety and ergonomic standards. Extensive training in safety, ergonomics, and laboratory SOPs provided.
- General laboratory operations and routine laboratory or information handling tasks in support of scientific research.
- Perform tasks according to accepted methods and training prescribed by the work group.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degreein Biology with a focus on Entomology and/or Nematology
- Performs duties with minimal supervision, actively demonstrates accountability by providing recommendations and/or thorough analysis of options for issues/solutions.
- Must exhibit skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple items simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel, as well as the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong problem solving and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
