Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at IMS People. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests and analyses, including mineral analysis, organic matter analysis, and pH and lime index assays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare samples for and perform mineral analysis assays via ICP
  • Prepare samples for and perform organic matter analysis via automated multi-place balance robot
  • Prepare samples for and perform pH and lime index assays via automated multi-place pH probe robot
  • Work with NIR instruments and float in the laboratory as needed
  • Evaluate results for quality program compliance based on established protocols
  • Perform basic instrument preparation and troubleshooting
  • Perform data entry and documentation

Requirements:

  • Science background preferred with BS or AS; college students working toward a degree may also be considered
  • Ability to stand in one place for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in a high-paced, high-throughput environment with maintained attention to detail
  • Prior experience with ICP, IR, and wet chemical analysis in a regulated laboratory environment preferred
  • Ability to work in a dusty/dirty laboratory setting (lab coat and mask will be provided)
  • Flexible schedule required, including ability to stay longer or come in earlier as needed

Working Environment:

The laboratory is a dusty and dirty environment, testing soil and plant products. While we try to keep the areas clean, some individuals may need to wear a dust mask. If you are interested in working in a dynamic laboratory environment, we encourage you to apply.
