We encourage applications from allqualified individuals.Job TitleClient Intake SpecialistSummaryThe Client Intake Specialist will support the Supportive Services for Veterans & Families (SSVF) Program by handling the office flow, assisting with intakes, performing program data reporting, data management, and program support-related activities. This position will work directly with the Community Engagement Liaison.Roles and ResponsibilitiesProvide Front Desk reception and intake to program participantsAssist with daily preparation of activities for the drop-in center including preparation of food and coffeePerform client wellness checks over the phoneAnswer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staffSort and file incoming mail and distribute to appropriate departments and clientsProvide information about the organization and referral to outside agencies & organizationsAssist with Intake paperwork and requests for documentsOpening and closing of the lobby; Ensuring the safety of clients and staff while in the lobbyMaintain and update web-based client management database- (ECM & HMIS Clarity) for program activitiesWork with SSVF and E&T teams on the coordination of client files, data entry, data reporting, and client activitiesPerform other tasks (i.e. Wellness Week and other events) as delegated by the Community Engagement LiaisonMust be able to carry out the essential duties of the position within what can be considered reasonable accommodation RequirementsTwo-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and/or work experienceTranslatable military experience and skills may be alternatively substitutedAbility to work in a team environment and meet regularly with appropriate staff to provide participant data status updatesExcellent customer service skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsFlexibility and willingness to perform multiple jobs in a work environment with changing prioritiesProactive and collaborative problem-solverDetail-orientedDemonstrated ability to interact well with people from all walks of lifeAbility to follow through on assigned tasksExcellent written and oral communication skillsMust possess computer proficiency in MS Office Suite, general web-based applications and Internet search enginesEmployee must be able to perform all essential job requirements and responsibilities within what would be considered reasonable accommodationMust be able to communicate effectively with a variety of personalities and be comfortable working with an at-risk client population, including embracing the agency's Cultural Humility Initiative Salary & BenefitsCompensation is based on a competitive public interest salary scale.
