About the Role
The
Programmer – Machine Learningis an integral part of Latham’s Technology & Information Services team.This role will be responsible for
developing and optimizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) applications
, while
working with and making recommendations to the Manager of Machine Learning regarding the maintenance and enhancement of existing Latham production applications
. This role will be located in either our Los Angeles, Orange County, or San Diego office.Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
Working independently to develop and implement comprehensive computing solutions that solve user business requirements; developing solutions in a professional manner and in accordance with established deliverable schedules and firm procedures
Working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement AI/ML solutions to solve complex business problems and drive innovation
Contributing to the entire lifecycle of AI/ML applications, including concept, design, test, release, and support
Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to keep our AI systems at the forefront of technological advancements
Participating in consultations with development staff, project analysts, and end-users regarding system requirements and functionality; designing recommended solutions
We’d love to hear from you if you:
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Python with the ability to design, develop, and debug applications
Possess strong knowledge of Python design patterns, functional and/or object-oriented programming
Exhibit proficiency with API development frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI) and knowledge of web standards relating to API development (e.g., CORS, OpenAPI)
Are proficient with Agile development and task tracking systems (Azure DevOps, JIRA), testing frameworks (e.g., Test-Driven Development), and Git
And have:
A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
A minimum of four (4) years of relevant programming experience
A minimum of three (3) years of Python experience
A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with agile teams, dedicated to developing production-ready applications
