Position Overview
Kiewit Building Group specializes in vertical construction, building various types of facilities. They are seeking a Construction Estimator to join their team in Omaha, NE. The role involves reviewing plans, preparing cost estimates, conducting site investigations, staying updated on industry trends, providing leadership in subcontractor selection, and more.
Responsibilities
Review owner plans and specifications to develop a comprehensive understanding of the project
Assist with proposals and prepare cost estimates
Conduct site investigations to identify any unusual conditions
Stay updated on industry trends and developments
Provide leadership in subcontractor and vendor selection
Prepare special engineering studies or reports
Consult with owners on various project-related issues
Qualifications
Undergraduate or graduate degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
5+ years of related experience preferred
Extensive knowledge of complex Vertical Building projects
Strong attention to detail, communication, and leadership skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Ability to work in various physical conditions and heights
