Position Overview:

The Grants Manager will play a critical role in identifying funding opportunities, preparing compelling grant proposals, and ensuring the effective management of grant funds. This individual will work closely with various departments to align funding needs with grant opportunities, maintain relationships with funders, and oversee grant compliance and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify Funding Opportunities: Research and identify potential funding sources, including federal, state, and local grants, as well as private foundations and corporate sponsorships.
  • Proposal Development: Lead the development and submission of grant proposals, including drafting, reviewing, and editing applications to ensure alignment with funder requirements and organizational goals.
  • Grant Management: Manage awarded grants, including tracking deadlines, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with grant terms and conditions.
  • Budget Oversight: Collaborate with the finance team to develop grant budgets and monitor expenditures to ensure alignment with grant agreements.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with funders, partners, and key stakeholders to facilitate effective collaboration and ongoing support.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of long-term grant strategies and participate in planning meetings to align funding opportunities with organizational priorities.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of grant activities, including applications, agreements, and reports, using [Company's preferred grant management system/software].
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with program staff to understand project needs and ensure that grant activities are aligned with program objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in grant writing, management, and administration, preferably in a nonprofit or government setting.
  • Skills:
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a proven track record of successful grant applications.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in grant management software and other relevant technology.
  • Knowledge of funding sources and trends in [your industry or cause].
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
