Job Description
- will serve as the design authority on projects related to batch plant design, construction, rebuild/repair projects, and batch plant audits
- will be engineering large material handling and material storage systems for bulk raw material used in cement, metals, masonry, and glass manufacturing
- will supervise the work of the design team and checking designs within AutoCAD
- assist in the development of project scopes and budgets
- engineering material handling systems including belt driven conveyors, bucket elevators, screw conveyors, pneumatic transport, vibratory conveyors, spiral conveyors, cullet handling systems, scales and other material weighing systems
- will engineer bulk material storage systems such as external silos or warehouse areas
- conduct and development of design/layout drawings, fabrications drawings, material lists and component/material specifications
- conduct batch plant/cullet system audits
- develop scope of work documents and engineering material/construction estimates
- working directly with the client to identify requirements and process improvement opportunities
- working in both imperial and metric measurement units
- process utilization studies including time cycle studies, process control analysis to use as the basis of process upgrades and modifications
Qualifications
Must Have:
1. Minimum of 5 years experience engineering or designing bulk raw material handling systems
2. Minimum of 5 years AutoCAD experience
3. 5 years of experience as a project engineer
4. 3 years experience checking designs, layouts, shop details, material lists, etc.
5. Able to travel an estimated 25%
Preferred Experience:
1. Bachelors degree in engineering
2. Glass melting furnace and glass batch plant experience
