The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility. This is a full-time position with a

Mechanical Test Engineer Candidate(s) will be expected to lead engine programs that ensure that the engine systems can meet the performance requirements on the program. This includes helping to define the performance requirements, test planning, and daily communication with test cell operators. Experience with engine operation and testing is highly desired. Responsibilities Make daily contact with technician(s) and test cell operators discussing activities. Work with engine platform group to develop performance requirements. Coordinate testing activities and test cell layout plan to properly map engines. Work with Machine shop/assembly for test cell alteration needs. Help coordinate complex fit up for new iron as needed. Requirements BSME, BSMET or equivalent degree with experience. Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience or hobbies. Excellent communication both written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments. Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to thrive in a team environment. Ability to travel (less than 10% of time). Desired Attributes Ability to work well independently and as a collaborative member of a cross functional team. Experience with diesel or gas engine testing. Strong organizational and time management skills. Experience with shop or factory support. Proficiency working with computers and computer systems. Our primary focus is the development of off highway equipment including agricultural, construction, mining, recreational, industrial, and special machines. Our work includes concept development, product design, documentation, problem-solving, simulation, optimization, and testing of components, systems and complete machines. Our engineering staff is located at our Engineering Center in Minneapolis, branch office in Dubuque, IA, and at numerous customer sites throughout the U.S.
