job summary:
A Controls Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Chillicothe, IL area. This position designs, develops, installs, and maintains equipment for monitoring and controlling engineering systems, ensuring safety and compliance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting control systems development for diesel aftertreatment systems.

work hours: 8am to 4pm
education: Masters

responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating and following electrical design schedules, from specification concept to system completion, adhering to overall project schedules

  • Test, evaluate, modify, and calibrate products and instruments

  • Analyze plant processes and design/implement improvements

  • Troubleshoot issues with hardware and processes

  • Analyze project requirements and perform technical calculations supporting design, including electrical requirements, robotic safety standards, and motor controls

  • Ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed for all work completed

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering preferred
