Beacon has an immediate opening for an experienced Digital Marketing Strategist. The ideal candidate will have well-rounded experience in marketing and business, coupled with strong people skills. The successful candidate must be able to collaborate directly with our customers to effectively develop custom online marketing strategies, and provide strong consultation, to maximize online visibility, reach qualified customers and ultimately optimize their ROI to meet sales and marketing goals. Our Strategists work closely with small and medium size customer accounts to fully understand business processes and goals, evaluate various technical and digital marketing options, then collaborate with them to develop and execute a more complete digital marketing strategy. Beacon is seeking candidates with strong marketing and business experience with using SEO, Paid Search, social media, and Google Analytics - not necessarily with deep technical experience with each (but it would be a plus).We are primarily seeking candidates that live in the Greensboro, NC area. We will only consider extremely strong candidates that live outside the area, but no relocation assistance will be available.The Digital Marketing Strategist willInteract directly with customers to tailor digital marketing and data collection solutions, then present insights & recommendationsProvide strategic multichannel campaign recommendations with an intermediate-level knowledge of both traditional and digital marketing techniques. Consult and partner with customers to define and develop digital marketing reporting and analysis based on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to optimize product offerings, marketing campaigns, site content and functionality, and sales and marketing efforts.Work collaboratively with project managers and digital marketing analysts/specialists to execute marketing plans that reach our clients' business goals.Define and manage research and analysis to create data-driven insights about search engine visitor behavior from website data on traffic patterns, order volume, conversion funnel, navigation behavior, pathing, and product selection.Have knowledge of common digital marketing tools that facilitate SEO, Paid Advertising, Social Media Marketing, and associated analytics. Have experience with, and an understanding of, the capabilities of Google Analytics with respect to data collection and reporting to shape strategies, analyze performance, identify trends, and make actionable recommendations.Troubleshoot online marketing issues with visibility, customer activity/trends, data collection and reporting, then collaborate with developers and customers to resolve them.Proactively provide creative and innovative tactics, custom reports, marketing ideas, concepts, and designs to support customer goals and objectives, which includes staying current with industry news and trends.Assist Sales & Marketing by providing high-level analyses for prospective customers.Participate in web site development projects as a measurement and analytics expert, identifying reporting requirements, monitoring the reporting implementation, and evaluating post-launch metrics.Manage & facilitate positive relationships with customers and partners.Demonstrate strong and grounded verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail.Drive business decision-making by educating and informing customers on web metrics -terminology, concepts, trends, insights, and recommendations.RequirementsDemonstrated business, marketing, and consultative experience with developing and managing online marketing strategies (ideally 3+ years)Demonstrated knowledge of the capabilities of SEO, Paid Search, Social Media Marketing, and Google Analytics, with respect to their individual and collective impact on business - and how to customize using all, or some, of these to drive desired results.Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of how digital marketing services integrate with, and impact, website design and analytics reporting.Strong, working familiarity with statistics, statistical concepts and applied analytics, gleaning insights from data, and making decisions based on data (preparing charts / reports for customers to support strategy)Ability to clearly communicate analysis findings, associated insights & recommendations to non-technical customers.Ability to work on numerous concurrent projects while still hitting deadlines (organizational and time management skills)Willingness to travel from time to time (short stays).Excellent organizational & time management skills Self-motivated, positive personality, solid work ethic with excellent people skills to thrive in a fast-paced, teaming environment.Confident with written & oral communication skills regarding customer managementProficient with Microsoft Office - Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word to facilitate reporting and presentation needs.A Great Place to WorkSince 1998, Beacon has focused on providing high-quality web solutions for its customers and building a work environment that supports a great work/life balance.
