**Responsibilities & Duties:**

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: currently hold or obtain weighmaster certification, general maintenance/labor/cleanup of site/dock areas, rigging, manlift/forklift operation, boat spotting, winter work vessel repair, material loading/discharging; observe, monitor and report any conditions that could lead to product nonconformity or other irregularity; being trained in various entry-level production positions and fills in as needed during vacation, absences, and increased production demands; report equipment problems identified to management; complete equipment pre-shift report, if applicable; clean work areas; replace or assist other workers as needed or directed; and other duties as assigned by management. **Welding and fabrication skills/experience is a plus.**

**Job Qualifications:**

+ High School Diploma or GED equivalency

+ Required to successfully complete and pass all required pre-employment testing to include; basic skills competency test, physical, drug screen and background check.

+ Must be able to obtain Transportation Workers Identification Credentials (TWIC) as required by the Department of Homeland Security

+ Willing and able to work rotating shifts/holidays/weekends- if and when needed,

+ Demonstrate team work and maturity with a strong work ethic; welding and fabrication skills/experience are a definite plus.

+ Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with other employees of the organization

+ Math Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.

+ Able to work over rough/uneven terrain.

Work in this class will include sitting, bending, kneeling, stooping, walking, pushing/pulling, climbing, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and heavy lifting with assistance. Work will include both indoor and outdoor activity where the employee is exposed to natural elements. Employee will be working with oil, grease, and chemicals and is expected to use proper PPE. Employee must be able to maneuver in tight places, climb ladders, step on and off equipment, and operate a motor vehicle. Must wear the required safety apparel in all areas of the job function.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; in outside weather conditions and is frequently exposed to petroleum products, and wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, risk of radiation and vibration.
