Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Act as a key consultant and advisor to management on Human Resource issues by identifying problem areas, proposing solutions to correct any issues, and executing those solutions in a timely manner.
Proactively stays abreast of legal and regulatory developments that impact human resources and ensure compliance with all labor regulations.
Recommends personnel policies and procedures to the Executive Committee
Maintains the company’s handbook.
Conducts job analysis and maintains job descriptions for the company.
Manages the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
Ensures that background and reference checks are completed on all new employees.
Oversees the completion of compensation and benefit documentation.
Drives communications strategies that keep employees informed and provide two-way communication between employees and management.
Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees
Maintains sensitive and confidential information as required by law.
Manages grievances according to company policy.
Oversees the creation and development of instructional training methods, such as individual training, group training, lectures, demonstrations, and workshops.
Manages web benefits through Paylocity.
Work closely with Payroll & Benefits to ensure compliance with all payroll and benefits-related issues.
Manages Job Performance Evaluation process.
Audits I-9s annually.
Conducts investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.
Monitors and assists Managers and Supervisors with performance improvement plans.
Assists Supervisors with employee disciplinary actions, i.e. guidance and warning notices.
Provides appropriate documents and required information upon termination of an employee.
Handles Leave of Absence and manages record keeping and tracking.
Analyzes, processes, and expedites close out of Worker’s Compensation claims.

3-5 years experience in Human Resources Supervisory positions
PHR and/or PHR-CA certification preferred
Detail knowledge of state and federal employment and HR laws and regulations.
Must be able to articulate, read, write, and interpret in English and Spanish and to communicate over the telephone.
Must have computer skills that include the use of email, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
Must have the ability to operate standard office equipment.
Must demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and excellent organizational skills
Smart device skills.
