Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of materialExamine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with fixtures or templates to ensure conformance with specificationsRecognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding tradeAnalyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operationsWeld separately or in combinationOperate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. to move raw material and parts as neededAble to lift up to 50lbsPerform other duties as required or assigned by supervisorFollow all OSHA and internal safety standardsQualificationsHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience1 years minimum verifiable welding experienceMust have experience Mig welding steelMust have experience welding a variety of different partsExperience working on a variety of metals is a plusAbility to perform standard shop computations (math)Ability to read schematics (blue prints) and engineering drawingsAdditional InformationPhoenix Stamping Group, LLC offers a drug-free work place along with a competitive salary and benefits package.
